Dishroom Coordinator

The Dishroom Coordinator is a vital member of our culinary team at Oakmont Senior Living. As a key player in maintaining a clean and safe environment, you will be responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times.

• Pre-Service Preparation: Prepare the dish room/area prior to meal service, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Dish Transport and Cleaning: Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes, clearing, washing, and sanitizing dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Post-Service Cleaning: Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up, performing general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Resident Interaction: Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner, maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Team Collaboration: Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

• Experience: Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Communication Skills: Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Certifications and Screening: Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
