Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health Intern. As a key member of our team, you will assist in answering incoming calls, directing them to appropriate staff, and maintaining regular and reliable attendance. You will also participate in regular individual/group supervision, complete all required paperwork, and provide case management functions as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Assist in answering incoming calls and directing them to appropriate staff.
  • Supervision and Guidance: Work closely under the supervision and guidance of on-sight supervisor or his/her designee.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Supervision and Training: Actively participate in regular individual/group supervision and complete all required training.
  • Case Management: Provide case management functions as needed and directed.
  • Observation and Participation: Observe and participate in Diagnostic Evaluations, psychotherapy groups, and/or individual sessions with client consent.
  • Task Completion: Complete tasks and trainings accurately and within required time frames.
Qualifications
  • Education: Masters' students in an approved university internship program required.
  • Driving Record: Good driving record and valid car insurance required.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced Computer skills including Excel capabilities with the ability to create reports.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Integrity and Judgment: Impeccable integrity, judgment, and professionalism.
  • Analytical Skills: Must be analytical and solutions-oriented.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing: Maintaining an upright position on the feet, especially for prolonged periods of time.
  • Pushing: Applying pressure and exerting force against an object for the purpose of moving it forward or away from the source of the force.
  • Lifting: Raising an object from a lower to a higher position, or moving an object laterally, from position to position.
  • Stooping: Bending the body forward and down from the waist, hips, and knees, sometimes for a prolonged length of time.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction away from the body.
  • Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
