Job Summary:

Assist in all food functions, including preparation, processing, and delivery to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as needed.
  • Assist with meal preparation according to patient dietary needs.
  • Help serve meals that are appealing and appetizing in appearance.
  • Timely setup of meal service, maintenance of food carts, and delivery of meal trays.
  • Adhere to sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal preparation and clean-up.
  • Keep work areas clean, including sweeping/mopping floors, sterilizing countertops, etc.
  • Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, meal service trays, etc.
  • Return clean dishes and utensils to proper storage areas.
  • Collect and carry out garbage.
  • Dispose of food and waste according to facility regulations.
  • Prepare food supplies for the next meal.
  • Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times.
