As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Kandji, you will play a critical role in contributing to our mission by designing and building the core services that power our web application, maintaining security and scalability.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer with experience building large-scale, mission-critical enterprise software in an object-oriented language. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Django, or a similar language and web application framework, as well as expertise in cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop core services that power our web application
  • Maintain security and scalability of our platform
  • Collaborate with macOS and Infrastructure engineers to bring world-class products to market
  • Work in a fast-paced startup environment with a focus on continuous integration and deployment
  • Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Exceptional proficiency in Python, Django, or a similar language and web application framework
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
  • Authoritative understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Data-driven, analytical, hypothesis/validation mindset
  • Ability to identify problems/opportunities, break them down into critical parts, and design solution options
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment of a large web application, and associated build, test, and deployment methodologies and tools
  • Experience with RESTful API
  • Familiar with microservice architecture
  • Experience with modern frameworks on backend and frontend
