Job Summary

Governors State University's College of Arts and Sciences is seeking qualified adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDSS). We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in academic writing, career planning, and interdisciplinary theories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate courses in IDSS, including academic writing, career planning, and interdisciplinary theories
  • Develop and implement course syllabi and lesson plans
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in interdisciplinary studies or a related field
  • Experience teaching undergraduate classes at an accredited college or university
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in interdisciplinary studies, education, or a related field
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
