Job Summary

The Cardiovascular Technologist Cath Lab Coordinator is a registered cardiovascular invasive specialist responsible for the effective management and coordination of interprocedural Cath Lab care. This role requires a high level of expertise in patient care, procedural coordination, and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Cath Lab and OR schedules
  • Manage supplies, regulate outdates, and inventory
  • Prepare and execute validations, plan and educate on JACHO initiatives
  • Coordinate vendor representatives, administer and train Cath Lab systems
  • Provide direct patient care in all Cath Lab procedures
  • Collaborate with the Director of the Cath Lab to provide Registered Nurse and Cardiovascular Technologist coverage
Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school (RCIS or RTR program) within 3 months of hire required, with continuing education in specialty area preferred. At least two years continuous clinical experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedures. A minimum of two years of recent Cath Lab Charge experience required.

RCIS registry required within 12 months of start date or RTR registry current. If RTR, VI (Vascular Interventional Radiography) or CI (Cardiac Interventional Radiography) credential required within 12 months of becoming eligible to take the exam. Must have current BLS certification or equivalent competency.
