Job Summary

This is a casual/PRN position at Methodist Physicians Clinic - Prairie Fields. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting and preserving blood samples and certain other body fluids for analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Performs duties of a Phlebotomist to assist in the daily workload by performing assigned tasks.
  • Assists in daily workload.
  • Compliant per PPE guidelines.
  • Performs basic dermal and venipuncture collection.
Maintaining Compliance

Maintain compliance with established processes, including turn-around time expectations, collecting and handling specimens, and proper documentation of sample collection.

Requirements
  • High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of phlebotomy experience that qualifies for American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification, or approved equivalent certification, preferred.
  • Completion of a structured, American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) approved phlebotomy training course, or approved equivalent course, or equivalent preferred such as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Nurse (RN), or MA.
