Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Stay At Home Nursing And Compani. As a member of our home care agency, you will provide quality care to seniors and individuals with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Ensure quality and safe delivery of health care services to patients.
  • Implement plans of care formulated by physicians and registered nurses.
  • Assess and provide patient/client and family caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment and use safe work methods and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Licensed as a licensed practical nurse in the state of Maryland.
  • Graduate of an accredited practical nurse program.
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to utilize the telephone for internal and external communications.
  • Good knowledge of nursing assessment and observation skills.
  • Current CPR certification.

Physical Demands:

The work requires moderately heavy physical exertion on a regular and recurring basis, including assisting patients in transfer activities and providing substantial support to patients in ambulation.
