Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for performing cash register operations, serving customers, and maintaining a clean and organized retail cashier station and caf.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock and maintain a clean and organized retail cashier station and caf, including restocking supplies and cleaning tables and chairs.
  • Assist with notifying cooks of service needs during meal service and assure all items have appropriate menu signage.
  • Responsible for all monetary transactions using cash register policy and complete reconciliation forms and deliver money to the cash room.
  • Assist with tasks as assigned by the department and perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience in retail or hospital food service.
  • Computer and cashier skills.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handler Permit, Travis County Health Department Food Handler Card or State Food Safety permit within 7 days of hire date.
