Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Water-Wastewater Engineer to join our team at Shive-Hattery. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing water and wastewater treatment systems for various public and private projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior engineers with entry-level engineering tasks, including preparation of facility plans, master planning reports, specifications, and design drawings.
  • Design water and wastewater treatment plants, treatment equipment comparisons, water well design, and water distribution system design.
  • Perform onsite construction administration and construction observation services, including reporting and monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents.
  • Collaborate with other engineers on multi-discipline teams to deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements
  • Ability to read and understand construction engineering plans and drawings, including sheet references and layering.
  • Passing or scheduled to take fundamentals of engineering exam to obtain official Engineer Intern designation by the State of Iowa/Illinois.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
