Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care under the supervision of the Practice. This position also performs clerical duties, acts as receptionist, maintains medical records and communicates with all departments.

Key Responsibilities:
Accurately collects clinical data on patients and demonstrates competency in performing clinical interventions and reports abnormalities to Medical Provider.
Triage patient phone calls and troubleshoot medication management issues
Documents nursing observations, interventions, and patient's response to treatment in patient records.

Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
Currently registered in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Must have excellent communications skills
Demonstrated competency in performing venipuncture for collection of blood specimens.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is active and requires the employee to constantly move about in the office to assist patients, staff and medical providers.
