Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • General Repairs: Conduct repairs in plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) to maintain facility operations.
  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect equipment and systems to identify any potential issues.
  • Blueprint Consultation: Utilize blueprints or building plans to determine effective solutions for equipment or system challenges.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance to guarantee the proper functioning of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Contractor Coordination: Engage outside contractors for specialized repairs as necessary.
  • Cleaning Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks throughout the facility.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Tenant Support: Address maintenance requests from tenants promptly.
  • Repair Tasks: Fix issues such as broken locks, wall gaps, and other property-related repairs.
  • Installation: Install appliances and other equipment as required.
  • Reporting: Communicate maintenance issues to the Property Manager.
  • Additional Duties: Carry out other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repair.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Capable of disassembling machines to replace faulty components.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in a related field is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and access confined spaces.
  • Capability to lift up to fifty pounds.
