Overview
The Nurse Residency program at ScionHealth is designed to provide newly licensed registered nurses with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their role. The program focuses on clinical expertise, leadership development, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform care planning interventions, including medication administration and monitoring patient conditions. Assist patients with daily activities and provide education to patients and families about care needs. Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Requirements:
Associate's degree required. Current Alabama RN licensure or compact license that includes AL. BLS obtained within 30 days of hire date. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
