Job Summary:
The Critical Care Nurse will provide high-level care for patients with life-threatening conditions or comorbidities requiring sophisticated organ support and invasive monitoring.
This challenging role requires a deep understanding of complex patient care, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients with diverse medical conditions, including overdose, post-surgery, trauma, and chronic illness.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Utilize advanced life support skills, including BLS and ACLS, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing patient needs and priorities.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and industry advancements.
Requirements:
- 2 years of ICU experience
- Computer charting experience with EPIC or similar systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
- Travel experience and level 1 certification
Benefits:
- 36-hour workweek
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
- 8-week contract
