Key Responsibilities- Triage and assess patients of all ages presenting for emergency care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient information and progress in a timely and accurate manner
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage as needed
- Manage care zones, including triage, rapid treatment area, carepath, pediatric ER, trauma, and behavioral health
- Coordinate and triage incoming ambulance traffic
- Manage care with primary ED attending
- Learn, understand, and use the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm
- Demonstrate the ability to manage critical situations and make care-based decisions
- Educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification
- Previous emergency, pre-hospital Registered Nurse experience preferred
