North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team in Tupelo, Mississippi.

• Procedure Preparation: Utilize procedure preference lists to select and arrange supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Surgeon Assistant: Assist surgeons by performing supervised duties, including primary scrub person, passing instruments, sponges, sutures, catheters, drains, and dressings.
• Patient Advocate: Protect patients from potential injury and contamination of the sterile field.
• Communication/Record-Keeping: Restock supplies, straighten the operating room for next use, and maintain accurate records.

• Education: High School graduate or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or on-the-job training with two years scrub experience in an OR setting.
• Certifications: Surgical Technologist certification preferred; American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification at HCP Level required.
• Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with a patient population of all ages.
