The Clinical Nurse Specialist is expected to maintain clinical and professional proficiency pertinent to the patient demographics served.

Physical Demands
This role requires the ability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull. Candidates must be capable of lifting and supporting weights up to 35 pounds while handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Proficiency in English communication is essential, along with intact sensory functions including sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity and critical thinking skills are necessary, as well as the ability to respond swiftly to changes in patient or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required, along with a minimum of one year of nursing experience in a specialized area. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
A valid, active, and unencumbered Nursing license approved by the relevant state licensing boards is essential. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required by the nursing leadership within the department.
