Job Summary

UMass Memorial Health Care is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Detoxification Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and monitor patients' physical and psychosocial status, providing individualized care and support.
  • Administer medications, reconcile medication lists, and document patient information in electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on health and wellness topics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current LPN licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in medical nursing, with a focus on substance abuse and mental health.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
