Boxing Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Boxing Instructor to join our team at the Community YMCA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading group classes in a safe and enjoyable environment, promoting member wellness and engagement. They will work closely with the Health and Fitness Director to ensure effective communication and program operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead energizing and educational group classes
• Maintain the highest safety standards in program operations
• Collaborate with the Health and Fitness Director to ensure good communication and program operations
• Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures, responding to emergency situations
• Distribute communication materials in coordination with the Health and Fitness Director
• Attend clinics, workshops, and staff meetings as assigned
• Maintain accurate records for programs
• Complete accident/incident reports for any occurrences while on duty
• Assist in special events and fitness workshops
• Provide support to members in achieving their healthy living goals
• Build effective relationships with members and the community

Requirements

• Minimum age of 21
• Certifications: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED, and First Aid
• Nationally recognized fitness instructor certification
• 3-5 years of experience
• Completion of required trainings
• Specialty certification in areas of expertise
• Excellent communication skills
• A commitment to continuous quality program improvements

• Ability to conduct classes and activities
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position
• Able to lift and carry 15-50 lbs
