About the Opportunity

The University of Minnesota seeks a highly qualified Academic Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our academic community, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach and develop curriculum for courses related to education, physical education, or a related area.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote academic success.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and professional goals.
  • Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate best practices into teaching and research.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in education, physical education, or a related area. Applicants with a M.A. will be hired as an Academic Instructor. Applicants with a Ph.D. will be hired as a Higher Education Professional.
  • At least 3 years of experience specifically addressing ONE of the courses listed in the program/unit description. This must be clearly identifiable in the applicant's cover letter and resume.
  • Currently certified in CPR and First Aid - Proof of certification is required upon request.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or advising at the collegiate level.
