The MetroHealth System is seeking highly motivated and adaptable Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners to join our team in delivering excellent healthcare to our patients. As a Psychiatric APRN Provider, you will have the opportunity to work in a new 110-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, with specialized units serving adolescents, geriatrics, adult psychiatric intensive care, adult substance use disorders, adult thought disorders, and adult mood disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct patient care consistent with advanced practice registered nurses education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management, and/or referral of health care issues.
- Promote consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy.
- Manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care.
- MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code.
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio.
- Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty PMHNP.
- One or more years of patient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire.
