Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for coordinating clinical services, administering medications, and conducting clinical assessments of our residents. You will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that each resident receives the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize the nursing process to prioritize care and make informed decisions about resident care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of resident care, adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Administer direct nursing care to residents, maintaining clinical competence and assessing nursing care requirements.
  • Collaborate with staff, peers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective clinical management of resident care.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide resident care consistent with policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment that promotes quality of life for our residents.
  • Evaluate assignments for nursing staff based on resident care needs and neighborhood needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation process of nursing staff.
  • Maintain adequate supplies on the neighborhood and contain costs.
  • Assist new staff members in the adjustment and orientation process.
  • Work collaboratively with all staff members and volunteers on designated shifts.
  • Seek assistance from the Assistant Community Advisor, Quality of Care Advisor, or Supervisor as necessary in addressing clinical issues.
  • Notify the Assistant Community Advisor or Supervisor in verbal and written form of any substandard work performance that requires disciplinary action.
  • Adhere to Infection Control and environmental safety procedures.
  • Delegate tasks to appropriate staff to ensure effective functioning of the unit.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from a State-approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland.
  • CPR certified.
  • Must possess clinical experience in long-term care and the Dementia population.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
  • Must be able to see and hear or use prosthesis that will enable these senses to function.
  • Obtains annual PPD and meets other regulatory requirements.
