The Role
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our cutting-edge Firefly project. As a Sr. Machine Learning Services Engineer, you'll be part of a talented team driving the development of scalable GenAI-backed solutions for Enterprise customers. Your work will impact how companies interact with customers across every screen, fostering exceptional digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance backend services for Firefly that power Generative AI features on various applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Create efficient model pipelines for custom Generative AI solutions like 'Train Your Own Model' using customer data, optimizing GPU usage and performance.
- Design a scalable and reliable cloud service with robust observability, logging, and tracing capabilities, enabling swift issue detection and resolution.
- Collaborate on Project Colligo, the AI superhighway for inference and training, managing and serving a collection of ML models in a highly scalable and resilient system.
- Contribute critical aspects of business logic to ensure accurate metering of usage, entitlement checks, quota limits, and upsell workflows within the Firefly services.
Requirements
- A proven track record of building, optimizing, and operating GPU-intensive ML workloads in production environments.
- Several years of experience in architecting cloud services and infrastructure for large-scale use (5B+ requests per month).
- A deep understanding of model serving, orchestration, scaling, and GPU resource management.
- Extensive high-level software engineering experience.
- Familiarity with key technologies: Python, ML, PyTorch, AIT, CUDA, GPU drivers, Kubernetes, AWS.
- Nice to have: Java skills.
What We Offer
This role comes with a competitive salary range of $170,900 -- $325,200 annually, adjusted based on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. In addition to an attractive salary, you may be eligible for short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or other rewards depending on your role and market conditions.
