Job SummaryAs a Residential Habilitation Manager at Dayforce, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation, staffing, and quality of services provided in our Supervised and Supportive Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRA's).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor Residential Habilitation plans and IPOP's with the program planning team and individuals receiving services.
Ensure that medical needs of people we serve are met by scheduling medical appointments, arranging transportation, and communicating necessary information to nursing staff, Care Coordinators, family advocates, and residential staff.
Coordinate transportation for individuals receiving services as needed.
Manage financial matters of each person supported within agency procedures, including personal needs management.
Supervise, train, and evaluate direct support staff, including the Assistant Residential Manager.
Work with Clinical Services nurses to supervise and evaluate medication administration certified staff, developing and monitoring corrective action plans as needed.
Schedule direct support staff to ensure adequate staffing to meet the needs of individuals we support.
Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
Maintain certification in medication administration and provide direct support services as needed.
Complete monthly paperwork accurately, including attendance records, petty cash, med fund, gas fund, monthly receipts, and personal allowance records.
Ensure residential habilitation services are documented in accordance with Agency, OPWDD, and Medicaid requirements.
Maintain agency vehicles and ensure required transportation paperwork is complete.
Prepare and submit management reports as requested or needed.
Ensure site is managed within budget and maintain the residence, including requisitioning maintenance for repairs to certified homes.
Oversee recreational activities in the community for people supported year-round and ensure nutritional needs are met.
Participate in quality improvement and corporate compliance activities as needed.
Demonstrate adherence to the DSP Code of Ethics and Core Competencies.
Requirements
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent with 5 years' experience working with developmentally disabled adults, or an Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field with at least two years' experience, or a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field with at least one year of experience providing service to people with developmental disabilities.
LPN or RN license may be substituted for Associate's Degree.
A minimum of one-year supervisory experience with excellent supervision skills is required.
Valid NYS driver's license with a safe driving record per agency policy, using a personal vehicle is required.
