Position: Truck Assembly Technician
Wheeler Machinery Company, a prominent name in the work truck and equipment sector, is on the lookout for a dedicated Truck Assembly Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety by adhering to all company safety protocols and policies.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring clear communication and accountability for assigned duties.
- Assemble new truck bodies, lube skids, and other specialized products according to client specifications and project requirements, which include hardware, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and various components following standard operating procedures.
- Engage in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with assembled components, cranes, lube trucks, lube skids, auxiliary power units, and other machinery as necessary.
- Take initiative in resolving client concerns and delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Qualifications:
- Commitment to safety practices and utilization of TRACK.
- Possession of personal hand tools or readiness to acquire them within the initial months of employment.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills through in-house training programs.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Compliance with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) requirements, including safety footwear.
- Physical capability to frequently sit, stand, walk, climb, squat, and kneel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited institution or trade school.
- Prior experience in the work truck industry, automotive sector, or truck equipment maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
