Overview

Select Physical Therapy is seeking a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)

Sign-On Bonus Available

Select Physical Therapy is in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team. This outreach role is designed for a duration of 12 months, focusing on specific sports assignments, including Women's Lacrosse, while also providing support for other athletic programs as necessary. The selected ATC will collaborate closely with a team of Athletic Trainers, Sports Physical Therapists, and a Sports Medicine Physician, all present on-site.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, starting at $50,000 per year.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with some evenings and weekends required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care under the guidance of a licensed physician.
  • Participate in the Athletic Training Services program, covering school athletic events and practices.
  • Develop and implement tailored rehabilitation programs for injured athletes.
  • Assess the need for and apply appropriate athletic training techniques before and during games/practices to minimize injury risk, including taping, wrapping, bracing, hydration, and basic wound care.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of athletic training and rehabilitation techniques, documenting changes based on athlete responses within the established care plan.
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure athletes receive optimal care within the sports medicine team.
  • Responsibly manage emergency situations, coordinating emergency medical services and acute care procedures, including basic life support, to mitigate the impact of injuries.
  • Seek outreach opportunities and engage in events to promote the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
  • Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Applicable state licensure as required.
