Our 41-bed Orthopedic/Progressive unit at Butterworth Hospital is a dynamic and collaborative environment where you will care for a diverse range of patients, including those with Orthopedic Trauma, Ortho Oncology, Hip & Spine Fractures, Spine Surgery, and Progressive Care and Med/Surg overflow diagnoses. These may include COPD, Pneumonia, Sepsis, Congestive Heart Failure, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Drips, Bi pap, and Post Op heart ablation and pacemaker replacement patients.

Scope of Work
As an RN Orthopedic Care Specialist, you will deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably, as described by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. You will demonstrate competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will uphold the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA, including ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, and research.

Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing is required.
- Bachelors in Nursing is required within 5 years.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 90 days.
