Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Database Developer/Engineer to design, build, and maintain our data movement (ETL), visualization (reporting), and database development. This role involves collaborating with team members to design, create, and maintain Stored Procedures, ETL packages, and database objects that support all of FreedomPay's products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Develop and maintain database objects, including tables, indexes, and stored procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement data visualization solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Work independently and in small teams to build and maintain database solutions
  • Provide expertise in software usage, functionality, performance, security, aesthetics, resilience, reuse, comprehensibility, and economic and technological tradeoffs
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of current Microsoft development technologies
  • Strong English reading and writing communication skills, with an ability to express and understand complex technical concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
  • Ability to work in teams and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess good organizational skills
  • Ability to anticipate potential problems and determine and implement solutions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant training in principles and techniques of database development and modeling
  • Experience working within an AGILE Scrum software development environment
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills in the English language
  • Mastery of relational database concepts, including tables, keys, indexes, etc.
  • Five or more years of experience developing the full range of objects in Microsoft SQL 2016 (or better) databases using SQL and T-SQL
  • Four or more years of experience creating and maintaining ETL packages with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
