Provide exceptional personalized service to Members and guests, adhering to Glen Oaks Country Club's core values outlined in the handbook and training manual. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with a focus on exceeding expectations. Actively contribute to all aspects of banquet and dining room operations as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to established setup procedures for the bar area.
  • Maintain accurate records of all beverages served, ensuring proper tallying, Member signatures, and balanced cash transactions.
  • Prepare garnishes, mix drinks, and pre-mix cocktails according to approved recipes.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the bar before opening to ensure adequate supplies are stocked for service.
  • Greet guests warmly and professionally.
  • Mix, prepare, and serve a variety of beverages according to established recipes provided by Glen Oaks Country Club's Food & Beverage Management team.
  • Promptly report any Member or Guest complaints to a Manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all bar equipment.
  • Monitor liquor and beer inventory levels, ensuring proper par stock is maintained. Request additional supplies as needed throughout service periods.
  • Adhere to established procedures for closing and securing the bar area.
  • Assist Supervisors in setting up special events and parties within the banquet and dining room spaces.
  • Foster a positive and team-oriented work environment by promoting high morale among staff both on and off the floor.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments within the Club to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Communicate Member dining experiences to the Bar Manager, Assistant Clubhouse Managers, and Clubhouse Manager to contribute to continuous improvement of services throughout the Club.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Jonas Point of Sale system, as well as all Food & Beverage menus, including nightly and weekly specials.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.
