Medical Specialist for Neurological Care

Seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our esteemed team at UW Health, a leading academic medical center. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU.
About the OpportunityAs a Medical Specialist for Neurological Care, you will collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive patient care and management. You will also work closely with a larger team, including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care, and Neurology, to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.

Key Responsibilities- Care for adults with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care and management
- Work closely with neurosurgeons, neurologists, and other specialists to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- A Master's or Doctorate's degree from an accredited Nursing Program (if Nurse Practitioner) or a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited PA Program (if Physician Assistant)
- A valid state license as a NP or PA, along with prescriptive authority
- Active board certification as a NP in acute care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology), if applicable
- A valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to hire
