Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter I to join our team at Daifuku Automotive America Corporation. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fitting and adjusting parts to meet specifications
  • Tack-welding and welding components and projects
  • Setting up welding equipment and ensuring welds meet standards
  • Performing precision layout tasks and fitting together structural parts and components
  • Reading and working to engineered drawings and welding symbols
  • Following all plant safety guidelines and maintaining a clean and safe work area
Requirements
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in manufacturing/fabrication welding
  • Prior manufacturing experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to pass a AWS D.1.1 3G vertical metal core pulse transfer weld qualification
  • Intermediate blueprint reading knowledge
  • Knowledge of machine operation, cutting, sawing, drilling, and grinding parts is desirable
  • Ability to use welding tools and operate forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Team player with a high sense of urgency to meet and exceed production goals
  • Attentive to detail with a focus on material defects and quality issues
Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility is a typical industrial environment with overhead cranes and forklifts. We maintain a clean and safe work area with overhead LED lights and housekeeping performed regularly. The noise level is normal to manufacturing processes, and we provide yearly audiometric testing to monitor areas for improvement.
