Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Hardware Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Hardware Reliability Engineering team, you will be responsible for building hardware-specific tools that scale systems through automation and evolve ServiceNow's infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop hardware-specific tools to automate system scaling and improve reliability
  • Collaborate with external hardware partners to develop creative solutions that meet our high reliability standards
  • Contribute to the development of our internal knowledge base by creating and maintaining documentation on hardware-related topics
  • Work closely with operations teams to develop cross-team solutions that improve system reliability
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience or 4+ years of experience with a Master's Degree in Engineering
  • Proven problem-solving skills and experience with Unix/Linux operating systems internals and administration
  • 3-5+ years of experience with enterprise-class server systems, including remote access management devices and firmware management
  • 3-5+ years of experience with shell scripting and Python, including programming against RESTful APIs
  • Excellent communication, conflict management, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience using the ServiceNow platform or ITIL Process and Change Management
