Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department Nurse Residency Program. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and developing your skills as a nurse.
About the Role:
The Emergency Department at Bridgeport Hospital is a 45-bed unit that accommodates the care of 92,000 visits per year. We are a state-designated regional level II Trauma Center and Connecticut's only Burn Center. The Bridgeport ED is also an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, Heart and Vascular Center, and the first Accredited Geriatric Emergency Department in Connecticut.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Connecticut
- ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications within 18 months of employment
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- Good interpersonal skills
