Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Saint David's Round Rock Medical Center. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

This is a travel Respiratory Therapist position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and asthma. You will also be responsible for conducting pulmonary function tests, administering medications, and educating patients and their families on respiratory care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of conditions, including COPD, pneumonia, and asthma.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests, including spirometry and arterial blood gas analysis.
  • Administer medications, including bronchodilators and corticosteroids.
  • Educate patients and their families on respiratory care, including the use of oxygen therapy and inhalers.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Texas.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a hospital setting.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
