This role will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our equities trading platform, ensuring its optimal performance and availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the technical infrastructure of our equities trading platform, including network applications and financial systems.
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to coordinate system rollouts, application updates, and provide feedback on production system performance.
- Lead efforts in upgrading and maintaining network applications, deploying the latest versions of financial applications in production using DevOps tools like Ansible.
- Utilize a wide array of technologies, including Unix/Linux, Oracle, and messaging middleware, while leveraging scripting languages like Shell, Perl, and Python to optimize system performance.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives across the Electronic Trading stack, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other engineering-related studies.
- At least 10 years of work experience in Software/Applications development, maintenance, application Production Support, and release management using C/C++, Shell Script, Perl, Python, Java, and J2EE.
- At least 7 years of experience in Software development, especially the development/enhancement of Network Management suites of software and tools.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Dojo Framework. Experience in network application upgrades (development) and UI enhancements (development) using Dojo framework.
- Strong expertise in Unix/Linux, Oracle, SQL, and experience with control tools like Control-M and Autosys.
- Proficient in DevOps tools, particularly Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with ITRS, HP-OMI, Synchrony Gateway, Service Now, JIRA, Confluence, Web services (SOAP/REST), WebLogic, MQ Series, and ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter.
- Extensive experience with Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Equities, Options, Futures, Fixed Income, Rates, Derivatives, Bonds, Forex Trading, and SWIFT Messaging.
- Familiarity with Asia cash markets behavior and an understanding of high-frequency trading environments.
- Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage high-risk engagements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, diligent, and willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification is a must.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive trading environment.
