Job Overview

The Senior Materials Scientist will provide technical services to internal and external customers, supporting company goals. This role involves making disposition decisions regarding non-conforming and off-standard material, applying statistical methods to solve problems, and designing experiments. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform other duties and special projects assigned by management.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience is required, with 2-4 years of work in metallurgy, statistics, or a related field. Working knowledge of metallurgical principles, standards, methods, and practices is essential, along with familiarity with production equipment and statistical methods. The candidate must be able to organize tasks, make decisions, access mill areas, travel, and apply statistical methods in decision-making.

Estimated Salary Range:$80,000 - $120,000 per year.
