Job Title: Survey Party Chief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team at Dynamic Engineering Consultants. As a Survey Party Chief, you will be responsible for leading our survey teams in the field, ensuring accurate and efficient data collection, and providing expert guidance on survey operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and analyze land, utility, boundary surveys, well location, and construction stakeout.
  • Process construction stakeout field preparations.
  • Complete all field operations for a variety of surveying projects, including topographic surveys, boundary surveys, transportation surveys, and construction layout.
  • Project datum conversion/transformation.
  • Maintain, clean, and service survey equipment and vehicles as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in land development surveying.
  • 3+ years of field experience as a Party Chief.
  • Flexibility in daily schedule start times, particularly early mornings.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with CIVIL3D and Land Development Desktop.
  • Experience with Leica survey systems.
  • Proficient with robotic total stations and data collection methods, GPS survey techniques, conventional leveling, and field notes.
  • Knowledge of field survey operations, engineering, and construction industry.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Ability to work independently as a one-person crew if necessary.
  • Willingness to train new employees.
