Job Summary:
As a Material Handler at DIMAR MANUFACTURING, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and production facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to load, unload, and move materials and products within the facility to meet the needs of our customers and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Material Handling Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, cranes, hoists, and pallet jacks to load, unload, transport, or stack materials and products.
- Material Movement and Storage: Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas.
- Inventory Management: Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved and ensure accurate inventory management.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to work under pressure, follow directions precisely, and possess valid unrestricted driver's license.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced environment, work overtime, including weekends as requested, and wear personal protective equipment (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/boots).
Working Conditions:
The Material Handler will work in a machine shop environment with dust, grease, and metal shavings common. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a dynamic work environment and prioritize tasks to meet production and customer needs.
