Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Protection Systems Engineer to join our team at Naval Facilities Engineering Command. As a key member of our Public Works Directorate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our fire protection systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement advanced fire protection engineering theories and concepts to provide organization-level recommendations for maintenance practices and work processes.
  • Manage the execution of significant fire protection projects related to maintenance improvement initiative programs.
  • Provide consultations on fire protection engineering issues for all architectural and engineering designs related to facilities design and construction.
  • Facilitate discussions and prepare technical presentations to military and civilian leaders.
  • Mentor employees, interns, and field office personnel in fire protection engineering and organizational processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a strong background in fire protection engineering and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective solutions. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements:

  • Successful completion of a professional engineering degree from an accredited program.
  • Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) from any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
