Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Mammography Supervisor to join our team at WellStar Health System, Inc. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and technical skills to oversee the daily operations of our mammography department.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the mammography department, ensuring that all procedures are performed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures, as well as ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff members, including new hires and existing employees, to ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that all images are of high quality and meet the required standards.
  • Manage the department's budget and resources, ensuring that all expenses are in line with the department's budget and that resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience, as well as to enhance the overall quality of care provided by the department.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a mammography department.
  • A degree in a related field, such as health sciences or a related field, is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Registered Mammographer (R.M.) or a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) is required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly and effectively.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this role is $110,000 - $130,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position, and benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
