Job Summary
KBR is seeking a highly qualified Modeling and Simulation Expert to support our team's technical initiatives. The successful candidate will have the ability to perform analysis support modeling and simulation of complex space systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models to inform technical decisions.
- Support modeling and simulation activities to validate system requirements and algorithms.
- Identify and document issues impacting spacecraft and ground systems through objective analysis and processes.
- Provide pre- and post-algorithm implementation and process analysis and modeling to ensure system integrity.
- Support verification and validation of algorithms, including tuning, testing, and integration planning.
- Conduct orbital analysis, including threats assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses to inform system design.
- Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports to support project deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
- 5-12 years of experience in modeling and simulation, analyzing algorithms, or verification and validation of systems.
- Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations.
- Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups.
- Ability to generate and maintain technical documentation and reports.
- Experience using one or more of the following: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
- Experience in modeling and simulation.
- Prior experience providing analysis support.
- Knowledge of impacting mission threats.
- Prior experience with government satellite systems and/or space situational awareness.
- Experience in the NRO.
- Experience with CONOPs, architecture products, and/or requirements.
- Experience supporting wargames and exercises.
Security Requirements
Active Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI. Current TS/SCI preferred.
