Job Summary

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel nursing assignment in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility in Homer, Alaska.

The successful candidate will provide skilled nursing assessments and direct care to LTC residents, taking an active role in planning resident care and ensuring the quality of care given. This may involve administering medications/treatments, overseeing and monitoring care performed by assigned staff, and functioning as RN on duty per State/Federal regulations.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must:

  • Hold a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska
  • Keep current with CEU credits as required by the State of Alaska
  • Maintain BLS certification
  • Have a minimum of one (1) year experience in Gerontology, preferably in a Long Term Care facility
  • Be able to effectively communicate with others and document care provided
  • Have numerical ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Complete General and Licensed staff orientation for LTC
  • Have the ability to organize tasks and demonstrate supervisory skills
