Position Overview

The Manufacturing Programs Module Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring that engineering objectives related to module manufacturing align with budgetary and scheduling targets, adhering to both customer and GE Aviation standards. This position collaborates closely with the T901 Design and Systems Engineering teams to integrate design for manufacturability considerations into the engine architecture throughout the design process, particularly during the preliminary design phase.

In this capacity, you will oversee the development and production of turbine nozzles fabricated at the Avio facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing material and part tracking through the IMPACT system.
  • Collaborating with sourcing teams to initiate and modify purchase orders.
  • Administering export licenses effectively.
  • Coordinating efforts among the T901 Power Turbine design, quality assurance (both GE Aviation and Avio), and manufacturing and casting sourcing teams to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost across three stages of PT nozzles.
Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Programs Module Leader's duties encompass:

  • Facilitating Critical Path Development (CPD) at the component level.
  • Aligning CPD milestone plans with engineering and suppliers.
  • Synchronizing hardware program milestones with engineering and suppliers.
  • Advocating for design for manufacturability initiatives.
  • Serving as the technical leader for manufacturing processes.
  • Driving improvements in critical path hardware.
  • Participating in engineering-led technical reviews and Product Change Boards (PCB).
  • Assisting in the resolution of hardware nonconformance issues.
  • Reviewing and approving Drawing and Development Change in Design (DCID).
  • Acting as the Earned Value Management Cost Account Manager at the module/component level.
  • Supporting cost estimation processes.
  • Contributing to proposal activities.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing roles such as Materials Planner, Manufacturing Quality Engineer, Quality Planner, or Value Process Engineer.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, lead, and influence across organizational matrices and with suppliers.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience in reporting to leadership.
  • Ability to make informed decisions amidst limited or conflicting data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with CAS and IMPACT systems.
  • Fluency in Italian.

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Final offers will be contingent upon the ability to obtain authorization for access to such information from the U.S. Government.
