Behavior Instructor

Hardin Simmons University seeks a skilled Behavior Instructor to join its team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with behavioral needs.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill this position. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices, with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with certification as an RBT or BCaBA a significant advantage.

• Implement treatment plans designed by BCBA
• Collect and record data during sessions
• Create session notes and reports
• Mentor and train new staff members
• Prepare materials for community outreach events

The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field (preferred)
• Certification as an ABAT Therapist/Behavioral Technician (optional)
• Strong understanding of ABA principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Hardin Simmons University offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as retirement savings plan and paid time off.

This is a full-time position, with hours varying between 30-40 hours per week. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid Class C Driver's License. A clear driving record is essential for insurability under the university liability policy.
