Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability. This individual will develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
The ideal candidate will participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials. They will resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers. Additionally, this person will review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible price and in the correct amounts. They will prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
This role requires strong negotiation skills to negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives. The Procurement Specialist must also monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.
In terms of qualifications, the ideal candidate should have three (3) plus years of experience in Purchasing, Buying or Procurement. They should be comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite and have knowledge of Costpoint is a plus.
