Job Overview

We are seeking an Inpatient Nocturnist Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. This is a full-time position working 7 days on, 7 days off with no on-call requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct rounds on patients, perform assessments, coordinate and evaluate plans of care, and implement discharge plans under the supervision of primary physicians
  • Administer medications/treatments and capable of obtaining arterial and central venous access, intubation
  • Manage critical care patients with a focus on post-VAD/Temp VAD/ECMO care
  • Work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements:

  • Board-certified acute care nurse practitioner licensed in Texas
  • Experience working in a hospital-based environment managing critical care patients
  • Schedule flexibility to meet the needs of the department
