Job Overview

USALCO, a leading provider of municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment chemistry, is seeking a Water Treatment Specialist to join our team in Southern California. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing market and sales strategies to drive growth.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, able to build strong relationships with customers and supply partners. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively present information and respond to questions from various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure quality, value, and responsiveness
  • Secure new customers and assist existing customers in achieving effective and efficient treatment solutions
  • Create marketing plans and strategies to enter target markets and participate in trade shows
  • Develop and propose changes to the strategic business plan to ensure positioning for long-term growth
  • Communicate progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer account management matters, including technical support, field testing, optimization, pricing, etc.
  • Analyze and interpret contracts, bids, business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
  • Forecast and track key account metrics, such as quarterly sales results and annual forecasts
  • Compose reports and business correspondence
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as CRM software
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and English communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve quickly and prioritize tasks according to importance
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role
  • 3 years of successful experience in an industrial and/or technical outside sales role
  • Valid driver's license
Working Conditions
  • Regular visits to customers are required
  • Environment primarily includes indoor work
  • Environment for occasional outdoor exposures at plant locations includes hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat/cold
  • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, stooping, reaching, bending, and typing
  • Workdays are Monday to Friday with weekend work as needed
