Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project engineering and design on projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to project budgets and schedules.
  • Represent Dewberry and projects with city, county, state, and federal agencies, building strong relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive engineering plans, calculations, and reports, including site layout, grading, sediment and erosion control, stormwater management, and roadways.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Assist with scope and fee determinations for proposed engineering services, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with 12+ years of experience in design and construction of site/civil, land development, and infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer license in the State of Maryland, with Washington, DC and Delaware desired.
  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications, with excellent written, oral, and graphic communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software, with experience in energy infrastructure, industrial, institutional, healthcare, and commercial site/civil engineering projects.
