Role Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be an integral part of the healthcare team, delivering proficient nursing care in accordance with established medical protocols and standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Administering skilled nursing care to patients in the OR.
- Conducting ongoing assessments of patient conditions and family needs.
- Communicating effectively with physicians and nursing supervisors regarding patient status.
- Implementing preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Educating patients and families on safety measures, medication management, and rehabilitation processes.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Maintaining professional development through continuing education.
- Documenting patient care accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to agency standards.
- Collaborating with facility staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Current and valid nursing license from the State Board of Nursing.
- At least one year of experience in an acute care environment.
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Strong observational skills and effective communication abilities.
- Good physical and mental health.
- Completion of agency employment processes and orientation.
