Hospice RN Responsibilities

  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the patient's physical status and psycho-social status
  • Develop a plan of care in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG), the patient/family, and the attending physician
  • Provide education and interventions to support the effective management of the patient's pain and other physical symptoms
  • Ensure equipment, supplies, drugs, and biologicals are available
  • Make necessary revisions to the IDG plan of care as the patient's/family's status and needs change
  • Document patient/family services provided accurately and timely
  • Regularly attend IDG meetings

Hospice RN Requirements

  • RN with active, unrestricted license in the State of Michigan
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience as an RN (required)
  • One (1) year of management experience (preferred)
  • One (1) year of home health experience (preferred)
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Community health and a wide range of Medical-Surgical experience (preferred)
  • Reliable transportation with a valid state driver's license and current car insurance
